Working with children makes my days fun and meaningful. Of course, some are even more fun than others! Here are ten of the kids who made @KPKiddoc tweet out #ilovemyjob this year:<!--more--><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>I said, \u201cKick your shoes off, and I&#8217;ll take a look.\u201d So he did \u2013 and his sneakers flew through the air, across the room, and right at me!<\/li>\n<li>A 7-year-old said to me, \u201cMy dad has a Ph.D. Do you know what Ph.D. stands for? Pretty handsome dude.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Me: \u201cWhat fruits and veggies do you like?\u201d Kid: \u201cYou can&#8217;t live without bacon!\u201d Hmmm.<\/li>\n<li>Me: \u201cGoodbye handsome.\u201d Five-year-old: \u201cShe called me handsome, Dad! See \u2013 <em>all<\/em> the girls call me handsome.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>I walked in the exam room to find my 4-year-old patient standing next to his mom and bench pressing her outstretched arm. He said, \u201cLook Doctor Land. I&#8217;m super-strong!&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>My 6-year-old patient told me she&#8217;s designing an app called \u201cFind My Friend.\u201d The app:<br \/>\nShows their playdate location<br \/>\nLets them know if their mom says they can play<br \/>\nAsks if they&#8217;d like to color or go to the park<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li>I walked into the exam room to see a mother sitting on the exam table, and the 6-year-old boy in the chair. I heard him say: \u201cMom quick. Take your shirt off too so the doctor won\u2019t know who to see!\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Me: \u201cDo you have any questions?\u201d Kid: \u201cAre your eyes real?\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Me to mother of an 8-month-old: \u201cWhat is the baby eating these days?\u201d Sister: \u201cFrench fries!\u201d<\/li>\n<li>And my favorite? A boy I see often who enjoys pulling out the step at the foot of the exam table and its stirrups to drive my \u201cexcavator!\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Choosing what field of medicine to go into was easy.
